31-1/2" blade with "U.S." stamped hilt. "A.D.K." inspected and dated 1854. Stamped "Ames Manufacturing Co., Chicopee, Mass.". Leather handle with single crack. Original wire braid. Brass pommel and handguard stamped "M.S. 60". Blade is very good with age spotting but no nicks. Double hanger iron scabbard is brown patina with no dents.
