31 - 1/2" single fuller etched blade with patriotic motif (E Plurabus Unum). The hand guard is a highly detailed gold wash eagle with shield. The cast silver handle is decorated with leaves. The pommel is a roman military head. Scabbard is engraved with two hangers. Cross guard and pommel have gold wash and chain guard. Decorated brass scabbard, high quality mounts. This is an absolutely wonderful ordinate from about 1840.
