The largest of any of the many cast iron airplanes manufactured by the various toy firms during the 1920-1930`s time period. Normally this particular plane is enameled in grey with red highlighting, not the case with this example! More than likely this was either a special order or used for display purposes. What is most unusual is that even the wing is painted a different color, the aluminum engine housings are painted and gold highlighting to the wording on the planes nose area. Another interesting note being the wheels that were used, normally large black tires over nickel plated discs is the norm. Sometimes one would see smaller white rubber tires over red wooden hubs. In this case smaller black rubber tires over smaller nickel plated discs were utilized. This is the second known example of this rare toy variation! Upon close inspection as well as black light inspection the plane appears to be all original & overall in very good plus original condition. (JY & JL).

Item Dimensions: 17" Wingspan.
RARE HUBLEY AMERICA TRI-MOTOR AIRPLANE.
