The larger of the two is inscribed "136, 13" which is attributed to Hertel & Schwab. She has brown glass sleep eyes with lower painted lashes only, an open mouth with four small upper teeth, a separately molded tongue, and is on the original fully jointed wooden composition body with original finish and minor age wear. The slightly smaller doll is incised "109-13" and is attributed to Handwerck. She has brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth with four teeth, painted upper and lower lashes, and is on the original fully jointed wooden composition body with original finish. Both have antique wigs and old clothes.
