24" barrel in .30-06 caliber. This rifle was manufactured September 1942 to December 1942. Has a replaced May 1953 barrel. Proper bolt stamped "D28287-12SA". Proper stock cartouche "S.A. E.McF" (Earl McFarland June '42 - July '43). Has proper trigger group stamped "D28290-8-SA". Serif "P" in circle on wrist. Has proper rear Lockbar type two rear sight. TE reading of '2' and an Me reading of '1'. All metal retains 85-90% of the dark military phosphate finish. Stock is excellent. World War II era leather sling. While the barrel is in superb condition, a proper 1942 replacement would bring this rifle into collector status.
