24" barrel in .30-06 caliber. This rifle was manufactured March 1942 to July 1942. Has a correct SA April 1942 barrel. Replaced rear sight (not Lockbar). Correct bolt stamped "D-28287-2SA". Replaced post-1953 stock with 1/2" "D.O.D." stamp in box. No "P" visible on wrist. Correct trigger group stamped "D282890-5-SA". TE reading of '4' and an ME reading of '+2'. Barrel and frame retain approximately 85% of the dark military phosphate finish. Trap is silver metal color. Stock is excellent. This rifle basically needs a proper rear sight and stock to bring it back to its original World War II configuration.
