24" barrel in .30-06 caliber. This rifle was built September 1941 to December 1941. Has an SA August 1942 barrel, field replacement stock (no cartouche), proper era bolt stamped "D28287-2SA", proper era type one flush rear sight, proper era trigger assembly stamped "D28290-5-SA". TE reading of '3' and an ME reading of '2'. Stock is excellent with usual abrasions. Barrel and frame retain approximately 80% of the military phosphate finish. Comes with a World War II leather sling. Given that this rifle could have been at Pearl Harbor, the addition of a few proper era parts would make this a very collectible M1.
