4-3/4" carrel in 7.65mm caliber. These pistols were manufactured by DWM for military contract sales in Switzerland. Collectors refer to this as the Police Model but most appear to have been for military issue. Serial range for the cross and shield is 10000 to 15215. This pistol falls directly in that range. Features the Swiss shield on chamber; DWM on toggle; blued finish; checkered walnut grips; straw colors on takedown lug, trigger, safety, and extractor. This model comes with grip safety. No serial number stamped on grips but they are period and all original. Has a "P47" stamp on lower frame. Wood bottom magazine has large aluminum side disc as seen on page 129 in the book "Lugers at Random". Swiss cross on barrel and side of frame. This pistol remains in near new condition with barely a hint of wear on rail and sideplate. Brilliant star colors on trigger and extractor. Fine bore and action.
