This lot consists of two stoneware crocks. The first stoneware crock is approximately 9-3/4 x 6-1/4 inches, with a grey base color. On the front of the crock, JAS. Hamilton Greensboro PA., with a hand painted wavy line. All of the decoration on the front of the crock is in a dark greyish black glaze. At the base, a thick line is also hand painted in that same dark color. The second crock is approximately 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches with a reddish undertone to the grey base color. Four, three leaf clover-like motifs in the dark glaze, line the top of the crock. Overall both crocks are in good condition, however there are inconsistencies in the clay and in the glaze. The smaller crock has more inconsistencies along with some reddish mottling on the crock. The clovers also do not have a high shine to them anymore. The larger crock’s base also is not completely flat and it wobbles slightly.
