This stoneware jug has a greyish mottled base color, with a bird perched atop of a branch in blue glaze. Above this motif, 2 L. Verner No 21 Washington Sq Worcester Mass, stamped into the clay. The opening to the jug is narrow, approximately 1-inch-wide, and stands approximately 14 inches tall with a flat base. Overall the jug is in good condition, however there are inconsistencies in the clay and in the glaze. On the front of the jug, just above the bird, there is a dent in the clay along with several other larger scratches/ divots in the clay. The top is worn of the glaze in places. There are some places where there are chips and nicks present. The blue glaze that makes up the bird on the jug, has kiln pop marks on it, making the outline of the bird look spotted.

Condition: (Good).
