This exceptional Minnie Mouse is truly the best of both Steiff and Disney worlds. Minnie is 37 cm, standing, and unjointed. She is primarily made from black and white velvet. Her pie-style eyes are glued on, and she retains her original black whiskers. She wears white cotton bloomers, an orange hat with a flower, and her original calico skirt which has faded to tan. Her fabulous orange velvet boots are detailed with black bows. This item was produced from 1932 through 1936 in 12, 17, 24, 31, 37, and 49 cm. Steiff made about 53,000 Mickey Mouse dolls but only 13,000 Minnie Mouse dolls in the 1931-1936 time frame. Minnie retains her long trailing "F" button, crisp and fully legible red ear tag, and original chest tag. Condition: As noted. Replaced tail. Very fine condition especially with all IDs and original flower in the hat. Provenance: From a fine Pennsylvania collection.

Item Dimensions: 15 - 1/2" T.
IMPRESSIVE & SECOND LARGEST STEIFF MINNIE MOUSE.
