Round 9” brass barrel marked “BRISTOL” near breech with three Birmingham proof marks on left side of breech, which is engraved with a border. .57 caliber smoothbore. Engraved steel barrel tang. Flat steel flintlock with engraved borders around lock plate, cock has engraved florals and lined border; lock plate signed “WILLIAM HOL-“, with signature partially covered by frizzen spring. Plain walnut stock with brass furniture and steel ramrod. Trigger guard with daisy engraved on bow and terminating with engraved pineapple finial; engraved lock screws surrounded by thin brass circle inlays. Very good with brass retaining some varnish coating and darker in exposed areas. Stock with cracks on around forend above center ramrod ferrule.
