.45 ACP with a 5" barrel. This frame was manufactured by Colt in 1918 and was rebuilt for World War II using a mix of parts, which was typical. The slide was manufactured by Ithaca. It has a Hi-Standard marked World War II barrel. Features checkered short widespur hammer, checkered safety, serrated slide stop, flat mainspring housing with loop, long smooth World War I trigger. There is some pitting on trigger under the World War II phosphate finish. "United States Property" legend on frame is strong, as is serial number. Frame retains 90%of the reapplied arsenal finish with exception to the housing, which is gun metal grey. Slide has overall high edge wear and still retains approximately 90% finish. Blued barrel has a near mint bore. Sports Keyes style brown plastic grips.
