12 bore, 32” blued barrels, 2-3/4” chambers, barrels choked to improved modified pattern. Solid matte rib with white bead at muzzle and brass center bead marked “MADE FOR IVER JOHNSON SPORTING GOODS CO.” on rib near breech. Each side of top barrel marked “SIMSON & CO SUHL” and “RUPP STEEL”. Casehardened scalloped boxlock action with fine and extensive scroll engraving. Greener cross bolt, double triggers, ejectors, and non-automatic safeties. Bottom of action engraved en suite with sides and has “Simson” inlaid in silver. Blued trigger guard, opening lever and safety. Walnut stocks with very finely executed panels of checkering behind scalloped actions, with relief borders. Fine wrap around checkering in shaped pattern around pistol grip and on each side of forend. Forend with Deeley release. Brown and black rubber Pachmayr butt pad. Vacant gold escutcheon on bottom of stock. LOP from front trigger to end of wood is 13-9/16” and 14-5/16” to end of the butt pad. Drop at comb is 1-1/2” and drop at heel is 2”. Excellent condition, barrels retain about 90% blue finish, some muzzle wear and light edge wear, excellent bores. Action retains 98% case colors, some slight fading. Trigger guard, lever, and safety retain about 70% blue finish. Stock excellent with sharp checkering, a few minor marks from use.
