26" barrel in .38-72 WCF caliber. Manufactured 1903. Standard features include scarce full octagon barrel, original Winchester sporting front and rear sights, walnut forend with black ebony inset, walnut buttstock with rifle buttplate, and blued finish. Overall metal is a mix of blue-brown patina. Frame legends are slightly weak. Stocks are proud to metal and in excellent condition. Perfect working order. Strong rifled bore. Nice, honest example of an early 1895 rifle with scarce octagon barrel and caliber.
