12 bore. 30" blued steel barrels with solid matte rib marked, "HENRY ATKIN (FROM PURDEY) 18 OXENDON STREET HAYMARKET LONDON W", rib with scroll engraving near breech and doll's head extension, barrels with finely engraved borders at breeches. This is a very unique shotgun. Henry Atkin was a stocker for Purdey in the mid 1800s, and in 1891 he and four other gentlemen bought Boss & Company. Bottom of each barrel marked, "H.S." and with serial number on each. Left barrel "modified choke", right barrel cylinder bore with 2 - 3/4" chambers. Scroll engraved side lock actions with back - action style side plates, engraved with fine scrolls and marked, "HENRY ATKIN" on both sides. Ejectors, automatic safety, double triggers with blued scroll engraved trigger guard, lever, and safety. LOP from front trigger to back of hard rubber buttplate is 13 - 3/4". 1 - 5/8" drop at comb and 2 - 3/8" drop at heel. Highly figured, straight walnut stock with checkered wrist and vacant silver oval escutcheon on bottom, splinter fore-end with large shaped panel of checkering with scroll engraved Anson release. Condition is very good, as redone. Re-blued barrels retaining approximately 95% blue with some wear on sides of breeches and scattered scratches/marks from use. Bores with some spotting, actions without finish with some spots, light rust and brown patina. There is some wear to the engraving bordering the left barrel. Trigger guard retains 90%-95% re-blued finish and having some wear to engraving on tang. Stock with crack on right side of wrist running from back of side plate to trigger guard tang, small chip behind tang, small replaced piece of wood behind right barrel and small filled area on left side above sideplate. Forend is excellent with one small chip filled near barrel.

CORRECTION: It has steel barrels with extractors not Damascus as it states in the description.
