26" barrel in .30-30 caliber. This special order Marlin was manufactured in 1906. Features half octagon barrel, half magazine, takedown, sporting sights, walnut stock, and S-curve metal buttplate. This rifle has an additional tang rear sight and the front sight appears to be a more contemporary replacement. The barrel retains approximately 80% original factory blue with razor sharp legends, starting to soften. The case colors have greyed out on frame. Tube is basically brown patina. Forend is fine and proud to metal with normal dings. Buttstock is very good but does have two plugged repairs. Fine action. Strong rifling. With some attention to the buttstock, this would be a fine special order takedown Marlin.
