Heavy 30-1/2” octagonal barrel with patent breech in .42 caliber rifled bore. Dovetailed front blade sight and rear spur sight, flat engraved lock plate and hammer. Figured maple half stock with large relief rounded cheek piece. German silver nose cap, plain brass trigger guard, butt plate, toe plate, barrel key escutcheons and ramrod ferrules with a replaced steel ramrod. Good condition, barrel with worn edges and scattered marks, lock and barrel with grey patina, nipple replaced and lock plate showing wear. Stock very good with small piece of wood replaced on left side near nose cap, scattered marks from use.
