Serial # 29474 Caliber is .348 wcf, barrel length is 24”. This deluxe rifle was manufactured in 1949. Referred to as a short tang model. Deluxe model featured high quality checkered walnut stock with Winchester pistol grip and checkered butt plate with factory sling eyes in stock and for-end. Standard features include round barrel, hooded ramp sight, half magazine, solid frame, blued finish, rear sight has a filler and a Redfield target receiver sight installed. This rifle has seen little use. There is a hint of wear at base of frame. A few marks where rear sight elevator has rested and light muzzle wear with some thinning at bottom of lever loop. Screws are perfect. Frame and barrel retain approx. 98% of high polish blue. Wood is excellent, proud to metal, no cracks with sharp checkering. For-end has a couple of hunting mars. Fine bore and action. A beautiful early post war deluxe. Original and unaltered.
