24" barrel in .22 rimfire caliber. Manufactured 1898. Features full octagon barrel, half mag, blued finish, walnut stocks, Colt logo black composite buttplate. Sights consist of simple wind drift front and rear. Legends are sharp. Forend is very good with no cracks or breaks, but the decorative incisions are weak. Stock is excellent with no cracks but was refinished at one time and is slightly shy to metal. All metal surfaces are a smooth soft brown patina. Fine action. Strong rifling with usual abrasion. Decent little Lightning.
