24" barrel in 9x56mm caliber. This lovely Mauser sporting rifle was manufactured before the war. It features an octagon to round barrel with full matted rib, ramp front sight, and two leaf folding rear sporting sight. Barrel is stamped "H. Burgsmuller & Sohne-Hoflilferinten - Kreiensen". the barrel is beautifully rust blued retaining 97% finish with sling swivel. Frame, bolt, and safety are beautifully case hardened. Bridge has integral claw mounts installed. The bolt, safety, shroud, and bolt release have all matching numbers. Has double set triggers. Trigger guard and floor plate are also case colored. Sports a checkered round knob walnut stock with Schnauble forend and leather covered rubber butt pad. Perfect action. Wood is excellent to near mint. All case colored parts retain virtually all of the original colors Bore is strong and shiny. This rifle is accompanied by a set of RCBS loading dies.
