4" barrel in .357 magnum caliber. Manufactured in 1954. This Model pre-dates the Python by two years and has become somewhat collectible as the Pre-Python .357 Magnum. Production of this model ended in 1961. This revolver dates to second year of production. Features Python style adjustable rear sight and target hammer, six shot, blued finish, double action, and fully checkered walnut grips with gold medallion. This revolver saw some years in a holster. Barrel retains approximately 60% original blue with thinning on sides. Cylinder is thinning, especially on high edges. Frame retains approximately 90% original finish with high edge wear. Grips are excellent with some glue residue on inside of front grip strap. Very good rifling.
