4-1/4" barrel in .38 Auto caliber. The smallest of the Model 1900 series of guns, Colt's entry into the automatic field was referred to the Model 1903 Pocket Hammer Model due to the exposed hammer. Fires the .38 Auto cartridge which was interchangeable with the .38 Super that was developed based on this round. These guns could not handle the .38 Super rounds and were discontinued in 1929, the year the .38 Super was introduced. This pistol was manufactured in 1914. Features the blue finish with Colt logo black composite grips. The right side of the slide and frame, as well as the grip straps, are a pleasing mix of blue-brown patina. The left side of the slide and frame have suffered from poor storage. Much of the markings are not readable and there is worming to the surface. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean. Perfect action.
