Manufactured in 1885. 10 bore, 29-5/8” Damascus steel barrels, 2-3/4”chambers with solid matte rib marked “PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. TWIST” and has single copper bead. Hammered action marked “PARKER BROS” on both sides, double triggers. Walnut pistol grip buttstock with checkered grip with maker’s rubber cap and small vacant German silver shield escutcheon on top of wrist, steel butt plate. LOP is 14-1/8” from front trigger to end of butt. Checkered splinter forend with Deeley release stamped with patent dates, steel end cap. Good condition, barrels retaining traces of visible Damascus. Pitted bores and scattered areas of rust and spotting. Action with brown patina overall with spotting and rust. Stocks good with scattered marks from use and heavy wear to checkering. This is a nice example of an early Parker hammer gun.
