12 bore, 28” blued steel barrels with solid matte rib and single brass bead. Marked on top near breeches “Krupp Fluid Steel Made By” on right barrel and “A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila. PA” on other. 2-1/2” chambers, “Improved Modified” choke left barrel and “Improved Cylinder” on right barrel. Boxlock action with engraved borders and marked “ANSLEY H. FOX” on both sides, extractors, automatic safety. Double triggers with steel trigger guard engraved on bow. Vanished walnut semi-pistol grip stock with checkered panels on each side of wrist and black hard rubber Maker’s butt plate. Splinter fore-end with shaped panel of checkering and Deeley release. 13-1/4” LOP from front trigger. 1-3/4” drop at comb, 3-1/8” drop at heel. Good condition. Barrels retain 90% blue with scattered areas of surface rust and some wear at muzzles, and a series of nicks around face of right muzzle. Action now has a dark brown patina overall with some traces of blue in protected areas. Stock is good, retaining its original finish but has scattered dents and scratches from use. Bores are excellent but need to be cleaned.
