Two stage 48-1/2” barrel with two sets of relief rings and a cannon muzzle in .57 caliber smoothbore. Barrel fastened with a series of capucines with scroll engraved patterns. Small front post sight and high notched rear sight. Crudely-made flat snaphaunce lock, pan face has indistinct maker’s mark. Full length wood stock of familiar form, many bone and ivory inlays, some engraved with patterns typical to the region. Pierced steel trigger guard, lanyard ring opposite of lock, other furniture and inlays steel, steel ramrod. Fair condition. Steel components with brown patina and scattered areas of pitting. All surfaces varnished, stock with numerous missing inlays and some have been replaced, several chips to forend.
