Octagonal 35-3/4” barrel with indistinct signature in .36 caliber rifled bore. Notched rear sight and brass front blade sight, long tang of unusual form. Flat percussion lock shows traces of stamped designs and appears to have once read Cincinnati. Bolster is a contemporary replacement. Figured maple stock of Ohio form with unusual high relief cheek piece, brass furniture and double set triggers. Sheet brass side plate with large piercing, trigger guard with large spur protruding from back of bow and long 2-7/8” nose cap. Very good condition, barrel bright and has been cleaned, signature faint, bore appears very good. Lock designs have been removed, hammer probable replacement and possibly repaired. Unpolished furniture with nice patina. Stock very good with evidence of replaced or shortened barrel and some non-structural age cracks on forend.
