Gun A) A crudely-made percussion pistol with a Deringer lock. 4-3/16” round barrel with scroll engraved patent breech and flat rib along top, small silver sight at muzzle. .50 caliber rifled bore. Back action lock with hammer replaced in period and marked “DERINGER”. Crudely made partially figured maple stock, sheet brass ramrod thimble, crude steel trigger guard, and replaced wooden ramrod. Good condition pitted brown patina on steel surfaces, stock very good with scattered marks from use. Missing hammer screw. Gun B) A Continental flintlock pocket pistol with a round 3-1/4” barrel with traces of engraving near breech and turnings at muzzle. .43 caliber smoothbore. Plain walnut stock with crudely engraved sheet brass furniture. Fair condition, steel components have been cleaned and have scattered dark areas and pitting, furniture with unpolished patina, trigger guard missing and side plate broken in two at rear lock screw, band missing at muzzle, stock has scattered dents and marks from use and the ramrod is replaced.
