8 gauge, round 47” barrels with patent breech and two silver bands inlaid near breeches and across rib, engraved tang. Flat matte rib with single silver bead. Flat locks both engraved and stamped “REDFERN/& GODDARD”, double triggers. Walnut half stock, wooden ramrod, steel ramrod ferrules, trigger guard with engraved bow and butt plate. Very good condition, barrels and locks with an even brown patina, matching all furniture. Stock excellent, scattered marks from use and small piece missing forward of left lock. Redfern & Goddard made parts and guns in London, England in the 19th century.
