3" barrel in .45 LC caliber. 503 special Sheriff's Models were manufactured in 1960 only. 25 were finished in nickel, the balance were finished in the standard blue and case color with walnut grips. This is the standard blued model. It is a six shot single action. There is a hint of high edge cylinder wear and muzzle wear. Revolver retains virtually all of the brilliant case colors. Fine bore and action. Near mint two piece walnut grips. Comes in an original Colt wood grain box numbered in grease pencil on bottom matching gun. Has gold end label stamped "Colt Sheriff's Model revolver, .45 Colt, 3" barrel". Box shows wear. An extremely scarce and desirable Second Generation special production one year run.
