6" barrel with a .42 bore measurement. Manufactured in Belgium and so proofed. Is based on the LeFaucheux French pinfire system. Features six shot, double action, full octagon barrel, with two piece checkered walnut grips, and lanyard ring. Matching serial number on barrel and frame. Barrel has a full top rib with engraving at breech. Cylinder and frame are engraved as is back strap. Loading gate intact. Walnut grips very good to excellent, all metal surfaces are a soft brown patina. Cylinder indexes but does not lock into place. Fine clean rifling. These revolvers were very popular for the Confederacy for the war between the States and were imported by the thousands into southern ports via the blockage runners.
