7.20" barrel in 10.55mm caliber. It is a six round single action non-ejecting revolver with blued finish, two piece walnut grips, and lanyard ring. This Model 1879 was manufactured in 1882 by S.V.C.S.O.C.H. Suhl. Has all visible matching numbers. Stocks are excellent. The buttcap is regimentally stamped with "83 A2 30". All metal parts are a soft grey-brown patina. Action is perfect. Strong rifled bore with minor abrasions. The multiple manufacturer initials indicates manufacture by a consortium that included V.C. Shilling and C.G. Haenel.
