7-1/2" barrel in .36 percussion caliber. Manufactured in 1863. Standard mid-war Colt Navy not martially marked. Strong New York barrel legend. Colt's patent stamped on left side of frame. The number "2" is stamped on left trigger bow. Matching serial number on barrel, frame, cylinder, loading lever, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cylinder has traces of Naval scene. Original nipples. Wedge is a replacement. One piece walnut grips are very good with no cracks. Most of the screws show some degree of marring. Wedge is loose and undersized. Cylinder indexes. Strong bore with minor abrasion. Metal is all smooth gun metal grey. Clean, honest, all matching example of a standard Navy.
