Round 3-7/8” barrel in .44 caliber smoothbore with muzzle slotted for barrel wrench. London proofs on underside near breech. Tapered triangular spring bayonet is fitted to underside of barrel near the muzzle, trigger guard releases bayonet. Flint boxlock action marked “LONDON” on right side surrounded by military motifs and left side marked “MORRIS” and engraved en suite to right side. Walnut grip with flat panels on each side. Grey patina overall with scattered marks from use and barrel removal tool marks. Cock repaired on left side and bayonet lug replaced, possibly during period of use. Grip with scattered marks from use and losses to finish and small chip on left side behind action.
