6-1/2" barrel in .455 caliber. According to factory letter, this revolver was a part of Canadian Government Contract shipped on July 15, 1916 to Ottawa, Canada. It was shipped with a 6.5" barrel, blue finish, butt swivel, and checkered, and gold medallion grips. This revolver has matching numbers on cylinder and barrel which would indicate that it was not converted to .45Colt/.45ACP. This revolver remains in excellent condition. Has the crown proof on butt. Gun retains approximately 85% of the high polish, original blue finish. High edge cylinder wear with drag line. Finish wear to top strap indicating holster wear. Fine colors. Grips are exactly as in the letter and are original. They are not numbered to the gun, but fit perfectly. Has a butter smooth action and strong, clean bore. Far above average for these Canadian - shipped guns as most sought very heavy service during the First World War.
