5" barrel in .38 Special caliber. Built on the large N frame. This revolver is a six shot, double action, blued finish, half moon front sight, with case colored hammer and trigger. Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Nice colors on hammer and trigger. Cylinder shows wear to flats and high edges. Rear grip strap is a brown patina. Has muzzle and barrel wear on both sides out to 1". The top strap shows holster wear. Overall 85-90% original blue intact. Fine strong bore, perfect action. Sports the proper type, gold medallion, pre-war, diamond checkered grips that fit perfectly but not numbered to gun. Fine example of pre-war large frame Smith & Wesson. Factory letter confirms all of the above and lists shipped, January 3, 1939 to George Worthington Co. Cleveland, OH.
