Cal. .22 short, Barrel length 24". Manufactured in 1894. Features: full octagon barrel, 2/3 magazine loading tube, original Winchester sporting rear sight, Lyman white bead front sight, groove walnut forend, straight walnut butt stock with rifle butt plate. The frame features the scarce and desirable case color finish, of which 80% remains, most is quite bright. There are traces of case colors on the butt plate and hammer. Stocks are finished in a deluxe varnish and are near mint, no cracks, proud to metal. Perfect toe and forearm is mint. Barrel has razor sharp legends and edges and retains 95% of the softening blue finish. Action is perfect, sharp rifling bore with black powder corrosion. Extremely fine 1890 Winchester that retains an extraordinary amount of case colors.
