The round 30-1/2” barrel is stamped with a crown over “1” and a “4” on left side of breech with front bayonet lug sight and rear 4-position ramp sight in .62 caliber smoothbore. Percussion lock stamped “1859/TOWER” in center and with a large crown over “V.R.” at tail. Full length walnut stock with two steel barrel bands and ramrod, otherwise brass furniture. Flower-shaped wrist escutcheon with nail added to wrist in a fashion suggesting use in the Middle East. Complete with sling swivels. Stock has been sanded and the comb altered; one trigger guard screw replaced with steel nail; small hole under forend, repair with screw on right side of trigger.
