Barrel length is 5", .38 super cartridge. Manufactured in 1947. Often referred to as the pre-war post-war as it used a mix of pre-war post-war parts. The Supers of this era with the fat barrels are extremely difficult to find in high condition. This pistol has all proper standard parts to include the high polish blue on side of frame and side with the new matte finish on top of slide introduced in the late 1946. This pistol has the pre-war style checkered hammer and slide stop with the serrated trigger. Has a post-war serrated arched main spring housing and sports the WWII Keyes style brown plastic grip panels. This pistol has a hint of drag line with some light edge muzzle loader. Still retains approximately 95% original finish. Grips are near mint, fine bore and action. Beautiful early post war .38 super.
