2" barrel in .38 Special caliber. The Model 36 is referred to as the "Chief's Special" and was introduced in 1950. It is a five shot double action built on the round butt J frame. This revolver was built 1976-1977. Features nickel finish, case colored hammer and trigger, and medallion checkered wood grips. Grips are proper era but numbered to another gun. Cylinder shows light burn and light cylinder line. Otherwise shows as near new inside and out.
