Barrel length 6", caliber .38 long Colt. Manufactured in 1896. One of the harder to find U.S. inspected models to come out of the 1892 swing out series Colts are the antique serial range, double action, revolvers manufactured for the United States Navy. The butt is stamped "U.S.N., (Anchor), .38 DA (Trident) No. 8061, NCT, 74906". Features: blue finish, six shot, double action with Colt black composite grips. This scarce revolver is in all original condition. It retains approximately 60-70% original blue with the balance turning patina. Grips are near mint. Strong clean bore. In addition, this revolver comes with the rare original U.S. Navy marked holster and ammo pouch with wood block. Holster is embossed "USN" and also stamped "USN". The leather ammo pouch is stamped "USN" and has the wooden cartridge block intact. Both these pieces are original, period to the gun. The Navy belt is a more recent vintage but still looks good with the rig. Excellent all original early Spanish/American War era Navy rig.
