Cal .22 short, Barrel length 28". Manufactured in 1920's these special military style muskets were built at the tail end of the 1885 production. They were based on the High Wall frame with a full round barrel, single barrel band, military style adjustable rear sight, ramp and dove tail front sight, musket length walnut forend with finger groves and metal tip, military style walnut butt stock with carbine butt plate with sling swivels. It retains approximately 85% original blue on on barrel with light scattered age freckling. Razor sharp legions. Forend is near mint. Stock is excellent, proud to metal, with the original finish. The frame is a pleasing blue, softening to light brown patina. Strong clean rifle bore and fine action. Far above average 1885 High Wall musket.
