12 bore with 28" barrels, 3" chambers, improved cylinder and modified, with an 14-1/4" LOP, drop at comb 1-3/8", drop at heel 2-1/2", Kersten double cross bolt lock, selectable ejectors, and single selective trigger. The deep relief game scenes done by master engraver 'Bernd Ludwig' are truly memorable. The left side shows a pointer with two ducks in a marsh scene and the right side features five quail in a wooded setting. Painstakingly done scroll work covers the bottom of the receiver, the trigger guard and the forend hardware. Select quality, Luxus grade European walnut is used for the pistol grip stock and the three piece forearm. The fine line checkering on grip and forearm are the usual fine Merkel quality. Features the scalloped box lock design. Has the Merkel black composite buttplate. Manufactured with Krupp steel and was manufactured in Germany. Barrel has full matted rib with single bead front sight. Mirror bores. Receiver is finished in the white, rust blued barrels. Gun remains in near new condition inside and out. The wood appears to be exhibition grade and finely finished. Shotgun is housed in an original leather Merkel case with trade label and original instructions.
