Curved 19-1/4” steel blade of familiar form, copper Habaki and unmarked tang. Tsuba formed in the shape of Japanese chrysanthemum with small brass floral and scroll inlays, brass Seppas. Wood grip with pierced copper pommel with stippled background. Scabbard with textured black lacquer finish and copper mounts. Blade with scattered spotting and no visible temper line, two small chips to edge near the tip. Grip without ray skin or wrap. Scabbard with missing lacquer in some areas and missing lock and ring.
