30" barrel in .30-40 Krag caliber. This Model 1892 was made in 1894. It went through the 1898 upgrade system with new stock and rear sight. Remains in excellent all original as altered condition. Frame is soft grey-brown patina, as is the barrel. Handguard is excellent with no cracks. Stock is excellent with no cracks and a perfect cartouche stamped "J.S.A. 1898". Script "P" on wrist. Fine action. Strong bore. Very nice example of an early Krag.
