This circa, 1920's, Christian Becker Balance Scale was used in laboratories. On the top of the scale there is a plaque that reads: "Calkins Division Los Angeles Chemical Co. Los Angeles". There is also another plaque on the scales that reads: "Christian Becker Inc. New York". All of the balances are present as well. Overall this balance is in good condition. The wood has some minor chips and scratches to it.
