6-1/2" barrel in .357 caliber. This revolver was manufactured in 1954-55. Smith & Wesson manufactured some of their finest revolvers in the decade after World War II. Features: square butt, N-frame, six shot, double action, high polish factory blue finish, fully checkered matted top strap and barrel rib, high Patridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, case colored checkered wide spur hammer, case colored serrated trigger, Smith & Wesson gold medallion diamond checkered walnut grips (right panel numbered to the gun), matching serial number on base of cylinder and inside yoke, recessed chambers, pin barrel, five screw. Cylinder has a light drag line and minor muzzle wear and a few extremely minor high edge wear on the frame. Fine revolver still remains 98% plus factory original high polish blue finish. Strong case colors, grips are excellent. Action perfect, bore is strong and clean. A lovely mid-50's Pre-Model 27 revolver, arguably the finest magnums ever produced.
