Caliber .41 rimfire, barrel length 3". This is referred to as the Model 95 Double Deringer, produced from 1866 to 1935. This is a Type II, Model 3, manufactured from 1888 to 1911. Features full factory nickel finish, checkered composite grips and case colored hammer. This example has a strong hinge and perfect action, with strong rifling and usual powder abrasions. Pistol retains approximately 20-30% nickel finish, balance is a gun metal grey with age spotting. Grips are excellent. Comes in a wooden display box with green felt lining. Accompanied by a small pearl handle dirk with leather scabbard. Seven 1880 cigarette cards of actors, full box of US cartridges in .41 short rimfire, and an old match safe with 19th century actress in the oval. Lovely early gamblers box.
