This two handled stoneware crock, with greyish mottled base color, has a floral motif done in blue glaze. Above this motif, A. K. Ballard Burldagt 3, is stamped in the clay with a hint of blue glaze. Present on the ware are some brownish orange spots. The interior of the crock is glazed a black color. This piece has a flat base and is approximately 12-3/4 x 10 inches. The opening at the top of the crock is approximately 6-1/4 inches at its widest. Overall the crock is in good condition, however there are inconsistencies in the clay and in the glaze. The top is worn of the glaze in places. There are some places where there are chips and nicks present. On the base of the crock there are dark spots. The handles are not flush against the crock.
