An oversized clock with a spectacular carving of Robin Hood in tribute to the 14th century folklore tail. The clocks case is purportedly carved from Sherwood Forest wood. It comes with provenance that states that it was once owned by the Governor of West Virginia and was shipped back by him from the UK at the turn of the century. The clock movement contains four trains and the dial is dated 1742. Two of the trains play music on bells. One is eight bells and the other is twelve bells. It also tells the date, day of the week and and month. Truly a one of a kind clock for the connoisseur of clocks. CORRECTION: Clock runs and chimes but stops due to bent suspension spring. New suspension spring is included but will need installation by clock maker.
